The power and the tremendous influence wielded by the Nine Planets – Navagraha on our everyday lives is simply astounding and amazing. This exquisite album tackles the multifaceted subject of the Nine Planets amazingly and guides the listeners in a step-by-step way through this maze of intricate information that leaves us spellbound and in a trance of meditation and spirituality.

Somewhere between electronic and new age. Govinda uses real mantras for lyrics, which makes the music even more appealing (to me). A little bit too relaxed at moments, but still a nice album with some very good songs.

In essence, this album can be attributed to the genre of New Age and World Music, But the mantras that chanting in this album (and here not only sloka quoted from the Vedas, but also contains verses from the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads) – so organically woven into the musical accompaniment that sense of reality, or so-called modernity – just lost.

The soundrack of Fire was composed and performed by A. R. Rahman except for tracks Ramayan and Allah Hu. Julie’s Theme and China Town were added as bonus tracks and were not used in the movie. A. R. Rahman reused or reworked on some of his acclaimed Bombay songs.

This album aims to capture that harmony which comes with the mind and body being tuned to the music of the higher spheres, creating an intensely peaceful state that produces an easy sense of beauty and tranquility for the mind, body and soul.

Masoom is a collection of music from the Indian popular films performed by known composer A.R. Rahman.

The album Chants for Children is, for those not very quick on the uptake, an album of chants for children. The collection claims to include the most essential Hindu mantras that have to be recited on a daily basis. It is marketed as the perfect guide for every child who needs a lesson in the basic mantras that govern our daily living.
